Hello, I designed a piece and have to see if the material can stand the distortion that will be done before I print in 3D. I got the data from this material, how can i simulate this in Solidworks 2010? Thanks Attachment:

1: Sorry, beat you to the 5x5x1 if that is what you are making, it sort of looks like it. 2: I'm not quite sure, I know there's gotta be something in the third tab at the top, I can't remember the name of it, in there there is like "check" functions and zebra stripes and thin wall finder and stuff, I really don't know what you need. -Alex

Quite frankly, whatever SolidWorks has for that is useless. A piece an either work of fail or be in between the two. You don't want either of the last. If you are in doubt that a piece might break, no analysis will help. Just design it to be more stable. But that piece looks like it would be perfectly stable, if printed in Nylon.
Mindstormscreator, could you provide evidence for that claim. I can't find a physical 5x5x1 by you anywhere on the forum.

You mean the first to post screenshots of a design that hasn't been built?

I don't really know if this is criticism, but what I mean by it on my side is "first to have a design that HAD been built. On mu puzzles' side, I guess is could be considered to be the first screenshots of the design. But it has been built.
