I vote the FFS 2x2x3II (: before you proved this was possible I'd spent AGES trying to figure out a mech for this (and other FFS puzzles, btw) but now I finally (somewhat) get how they work!
in theory shouldn't that design have been a bit easier than the FFS 2x2x2?

Not at all
With the addition of pieces, the mech becomes a lot more complicated. I'm using magnets in my 3x3x3 version just so that the mech holds all the pieces together On the small scale it works great, but with larger puzzles the mech goes from a simple concept to an overcomplicated swirl of plastic

You should make the 2x2x4 with gears ...similar to the gear cube....

P.S. I thought the 2x2x4 with a twist would atleast get one vote so far It rotates like the jumbling 2x2x4 with a twist, except without the jumbling. Maybe I should add a picture...

You are right, slightly From the pictures I showed, you could think it doesn't jumble. However, ALL cuts except the top and bottom extensions are deepcut. Rotate about 26.57 degrees and it jumbles. Also I will point out that the 2x2x4 based puzzles are a lot cheaper to make then the fully functional Siamese cubes.

If I have time, I'll add more pictures to show all movement options, maybe even an animation (send me a pm if you know how to )

The fact you chose a somewhat random angle for this does not make it jumble.
If you would expand the total mastercube to have 18000 cuts on the top side, you could then bandage it back down to your puzzle. (because every cut would be 0.01 degree from the other)
Therefore it is merely a bandaged puzzle not a jumbling one, as with a jumbling puzzle the amount of cuts on the top layer would be infinate.

Just trust me on this one, it jumbles The key word is ABOUT. I know a lot about jumbling and this puzzle can not be unbandaged. I don't want to sound mean but you are 100% wrong about the jumbling 2x2x4 not jumbling

Even if the angle was 45 degrees exactly, the puzzle would jumble. Just like a normal 2x2x4, it can change shape.

I've finished the two leading puzzle designs so far. Please vote for your favorite puzzle so that it can be prototyped within the following days. I don't want to prototype something nobody wants (besides me ofcourse, I want all of these )
