Pretty simple mod. Just buy a black and a white V-Cube, disassemble, sort into even/odd type parts, and reassemble the puzzle using a chessboard formation, yay!

For a 7x7x7, the centers and corners are odd but the central edge pieces are even.
For a 5x5x5, the face centers, outer corners, and central edge pieces are odd.

For a unique challenge, you could also pull the stickers off and build the 6x6x6 in a similar fashion, half white and half black with either an all-white or all-black internal core. The object would be not to solve the colored sides, but to get the cube into a 6x6 chessboard configuration in which no two white or black cubies are adjacent. If Verdes ever releases the 8x8x8, I will probably buy two and make a 3D chessboard out of them, LOL...
