 Post subject: My first from-scratch build

This is something I built a while back, I'm really not sure what to call it.

The centers are fixed, so only the edges and corners move. Solving it is very similar to solving a normal 3x3x3, except that the last layer is done a little differently. I just figured out how to solve it a few days ago. The color scheme is really random :D Lol

Most of the pieces are wooden, but 2 are made from polymer clay. I know, I know, it's brittle, but I didn't have anything better to use at the time :oops:

Nicely done. Cool concept. I have a plastic one like this, but you have to push the pieces to move them.

That sounds like it's a lot easier to work with, mine jams a lot. Once I tilt it, I gotta shake it for a second or two before the pieces fall. Though I must say, it makes a nice rattly noise! :mrgreen:
