Hi, this is the last mod I've done so far, I hope your opinion.

I am currently completing a Trajber's Octahedron that's what you show soon.

Indeed properly utilized plastic sheets can turn out some really great work. Just do a search for some of the master works by Anthony Greenhill, as I suspect he was one of the first to really popularize using plastic sheets for shape mods.

I'm learning pretty quickly that done right, sheet plastic puzzles are so much better than molded plastic puzzles. They're lighter, and more precise, since you're using the original pieces. The only benefit of casting a puzzle like this one over sheet plastic is, it only took me 1 core to build the mastermorphix. It takes 3 cubes worth of parts to build one just using sheet plastic.

??? how? I can understand the main parts, but what about all those little pieces you add to the edges and the big corners?

Obviously I have added polystyrene in the corners, but the whole structure of this mod constructed with the cube itself. What I mean is that I have not used more than 1 cube for its construction.

From every corner leaving these parts:

And each of these emerging 3 more triangles:

Cutting corners remaining, we have three more of those pieces, and 3 triangles over each:

Then just rebuild the corners with polystyrene:

It's a really clever way that you do with the edge pieces.

I wonder how you do with the certer pieces?. :roll:

The piece of the left in the picture is one of the central parts, only need cover with polystyrene.

That piece is then pasted above the top of the center of the cube.
