 Post subject: painted mf8 Legend II

this isn't strictly a mod, but i figured i'd show it off.

these are tiled versions of the mf8 Legend II, minus the tiles and painted with nail lacquer. one for my wife (first two photos), and one for me (third photo).

the scrambled one is a subercube: the recesses for the tiles were just deep enough to allow a thin strip of colour on each inner edge.

i spent about half an hour in the cosmetics section of the local drugstore picking out lacquer colours, lining up little bottles and comparing them and holding them up to the light.
other customers thought i was an employee, and the employees no doubt thought i'd been drinking.
