I have finished assembling this. I currently don't have the screws, but I will go to the hardware store sometime later in the week or weekend. :D
And so far, I love it! Even though it is a bit unstable. I will update this thread with a stickered puzzle that has screws in it.

What do you mean by "unstable"? It should turn fine and be usable without screws. In my experience the screws are just there as an insurance policy against popping.

Edit: are the corner feet in the core grooves properly? The core looks recessed and it should be flush.

I mean that it likes to fall apart, but just a few wing pieces though. Other than that, it is perfect.

I've adjusted the brightness on your photo. In this picture, do you consider the puzzle to be assembled?

That isn't snapped together fully. The core shouldn't be sunken in compared to the faces. The edge-wings on the top-right edge near the camera shouldn't be that loose and raised compared to the middle edge. The gap between the middle-edges that meet in the center on the right face closes to the camera shouldn't be so wide.

When the puzzle is snapped together the faces of each piece should be nice and flush and the puzzle should be a nice tight cuboid without so many uneven seams between pieces and gaps like in your picture. The core should definitely be flush with all of the other pieces.

I figured out the problem. I wasn't snapping the corners into the core properly. Everything is alright now. Stickered pics to follow soon. :D

Glad that is sorted out. Here is one I just dyed black last weekend. This is how it should look before you get the screws in. Everything is flush and it turns great. Nothing should pop unless you intentionally pull a piece out.

Here's the assembled and stickered pics! I'm so happy! The color scheme was made up by my dad, because I didn't want to use blue and I'm very indecisive. It is white opposite black on the smaller sides, and clockwise around the black face is green, red, yellow, and orange. It was based on stop lights, because my dad loves to drive. Also, I love the contrast of all the colors against the blue. Also, I needed that extra corner cap because one of them cracked (WRO). I love the scrambled pic!

WOW!!! That looks great. I'm glad you got it put together correctly. The blue and that sticker pattern look great together. I noticed the last one I ordered came with two extra corner caps. To be honest I don't remember putting any extra corner caps in the Shapeways Model. This is one of my earlier designs where I wanted to make things as cheap as possible. Now I do tend to include extras of some of the very small parts. So I think it was lucky you got an extra... yep it was luck. Here is the model and there isn't an extra corner cap.

Still I've never had a corner cap crack. If anyone ever has something like this happen to them and they don't have an extra please contact me. I have extras of many of the pieces to my puzzles that I could send to help out in a case like this. Oh and what is WRO? This didn't help me very much...http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/WRO.

As an FYI... the corner caps on my higher order Bubbloids which I'll be showing more of down the road have corner caps that are twice as thick. That was done to make the puzzle feel more solid and these caps at 0.7mm do allow the surface of the puzzle to flex.

Carl

P.S. How well does that white lub work with a Shapeways puzzle? I've seen it used of injection molded plastic puzzles with great results but I don't think I've seen it used on Shapeway puzzles before. With Shapeway puzzles I have great results with CRC Silicon Spray so have never really tried much else.

The Maru lube works really well with this puzzle. I highly recommend it for anyone who has it. Also, WRO means white red orange. :D Sorry for the confusion.
