Congratulation Noah ! And thank you for visiting my site.
I myself is not much of a puzzle solver, but I wonder which is the most difficult of the Megaminx familly (from 1.1.1 Megaminx to 1.1.7 Pentultimate on my list).
More pieces would not necessarily mean more difficulties, but I think "1.1.4" and "1.1.6" are the most challenging of all.
"1.1.5" ressembles Megaminx but would require a different approach because it doesn't have corner pieces.

And thank you for making these wonderful applets. Best controls I've ever had for an applet. So natural. Some little glitches with the shift clicks, but it's fine.
I personally have trouble with the ones that have centers that can be moved around.

I would like to request that the UNDO button trigger the undo to animate. It bothers me that it doens't.
Another thing that is slightly hard to work with is that it snaps to position instead of staying at off-angle views. But this is kinda central to this applet, and probably isn't easy to change.

Doh! I didn't read the post first, but I solved everything but the central pieces. I can't seem to come up with any good algs for doing them while preserving the other pieces. Perhaps I should start over....

Look at the point of one star. Look at the point closest to that on the adjacent face. Those are the same piece. That is the edge of a megaminx. On top of that piece is the Pyraminx Crystal edge.

It took me 4 hrs and 58 minutes appearently... but I solved it!
Flipped outer-edges is not fun on these pyraminx crystals.
So how hard would it be to build one of these for real? I assume it hasn't been done before. I can imagine it being possible though.

I can imagine a mechanism for it, but it'd take significant work; a Pyraminx Crystal already is too much!

Doug: When 2 Pyraminx Crystal edges are flipped in the 'lower top layer', 3 cycle them, then on one of the outer edges of the 3 cycle, do a double turn. The direction matters. What you are basically doing is fliping one of the flipped edges (with the setup move), then 3 cycling the other flipped edge in and then unflipping that one (by undoing the set up move).
