I have set myself a new daily challenge as of 2 days ago. Every evening I will scramble my Eastsheen 5x5x5 before going to sleep and when I wake up the next morning I will solve it. This both improves my 5x5x5 time and is actually a great exercise for the brain for the rest of the day. It's also possible that this will help with exams coming up for me. Any thoughts on this exercise?

The only thought is that if I were to do the same challenge, I'd be late for work.

If this was my challenge, an alarm call at 4am would be required

Another similar challenge is to memorize a scrambled cube just before you go to bed, then solve it blindfolded first thing in the morning. Zane Carney memorized a cube at the beginning of 2013 and placed it in a box. He plans on solving it at the end of 2013.

If I would do this my cats would be very angry at me; they come first, not cube.
