Hello everyone. I'm new here.

I got a Megaminx for christmas and Managed to solve it after working at it for a few weeks. I used what I knew of Solving a Rubik's cube and applied some techniques from that. Then I struggled at it for awhile, but I discovered some algorithms that permute corners and orient them. So now I can solve it. Yay.

On a 3x3x3 one can permute the centers fairly quickly, Only 8 are rotations necessary, (or 4 going through the center) in order to switch all 6 centers. I know the centers of a Megaminx can be rearranged because I've solved it into these positions. I'm curious as to what the quickest algorithm is that shifts all the Center pieces and leaves the rest untouched?

Thanks in advance for any help with this problem.

As far as I know the easiest method is to just resolve the puzzle. I could only imagine a center swapping algorithm for the Megaminx being well over 100 moves, probably significantly more.

Wow, is that 144 moves just to rotate centers about a face? That's pretty insane. I'd just resolve it into the target position instead.
