Sad news. I didn't believe it at first, but then I went to the discovery channel webpage and his web page, and sure enought it's true. =(

Funny how he loved animals and died this way, by a stingray no less.
Then there are guys like Jackass and Wildboyz, who tempt fate every second and live.
----Hey I like both in their own rights. Just pointing out an observation....
Anyway, may he Rest In Peace.

It's a pretty sad day for us here. Something I expected to happen eventually but at the same time never thought it would.
I feel bad for his family.

Me neither. A year or two ago there was an internet rumour that he'd died when he hadn't, so I needed some corroboration too before I could believe it.

I couldn't believe it either though also expected it one day. He really seemed like a genuine nice guy.

I just saw on a special edition of Animal Planet (?) this morning that Discovery Channel Canada is going to be setting up a memorial find in Steve's honour. Appropriately enough, they'll be calling it The Crikey Fund. More info on the fund can be found at http://www.discoverychannel.ca. L8r.

The Daily Express' main headline every day for the past few months has been about Dianna, and that was 9 years ago....

I can top that one... they're still talking about JonBonet Ramsey up here (including current cover stories on the news stands now), almost 10 years later.

Sure diana was popular but, almost no child knew who she was so only the adults knew what the real damage was.Everyone of all ages can feel for Irwin.Kids don't care about the pope either in america. :/

I am a christened Catholic but I don't believe in religion and am a complete atheist, but I was a little upset that the Pope died....
