at first glance this seemed a pointless thread, but thinking about it, we 500 registered members....not doing too bad, i know not all of them are regulars, but 500 is still good

It's possible that old user IDs are not overwritten for whatever purpose, and new users always receive a unique previously unused number. That makes some sense for record keeping so I suppose it's possible for this to happen.
However creating a new user just for the "privilege" of being #500, yea, that does seem pretty frivolous.
Ok Mr. 500, you've made your point. Now about fessing up so that the account can be deleted proper.

The only way that I see that he got 500 out of it is that we have 393 registered users and the most users online at once is 105 but I'm still 2 short. This is my guess but its probably wrong any way.

Mine's 123. Didn't know until now. Guess I thought it's not important.

That's odd. Mine is 118, but I joined a while after you did.

I believe the joined date is the date of your first post and the member number was the order that you registered on the new twistypuzzles site from the old twisty megasite.
That is why some people with older joined dates come after some of the newer ones.
