Well, the situation is a lot different than I thought. He doesn't just appear as Darth Vader one time. No, you actually see, how he gets the mask on and his whole uniform. I would say it's just a sad appearance. You'll know what I mean after watching the film.
So should the audience react when he has the completed uniform of Darth Vader on?
OR should the audience react, when he gets the name Darth Vader?
Or when he starts the first time to react like a Sith and work against the Jedis?

I thought the whole bit where Darth keeps coming out the dressing room in various outfits was very cliche. Sailor, cowboy, disco, Napolean Dynamite, drag queen, etc. got old. When he finally came out with the full Darth outside and gave a thumbs up was just a relief that it was over.

Sorry if I ruined it for anyone.

In one theater, before the movie was shown, the manager asked the audience to hold it down. In prior showings Yoda got a lot of cheering.

Too bad I didn't have a "sad silence" choice on the poll, because that was pretty much the audience reaction to Anakin becoming Darth Vader.
