Did anyone see this movie yet? I went in without seeing any previews or hearing any reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was done very well, although I haven't read the book in years. Hopefully they make all of the sequels.

Though I haven't seen the movie yet (seeing it saturday), I saw in the preview that he does. His holds his third arm inside his jacket, and his second head is positioned really wierd (I think it's under his other head).

actually it's been so long since I read the book, is it 3 arms or 3 legs?
I loved that book and read it many times, one of my favorites was hoovaloo a superintelligent shade of the color blue.

The one part I wish they had in the movie was the part about flying. No one was falling on the ground and missing it. I'm pretty sure that was in the first book, maybe it was in a later one.
But without ruining anything, Zaphod does in fact have two heads and three arms, it's pretty cool how they do it.

They didn't learn to fly till the third or fourth book I believe. If they don't come out with a second (at least) I will be very sad. I had problems with the things that were changed, but that's the beauty of the series. For those of you who don't know, It started as a radio drama, then a novel, then (in fuzzy order) LP recuts of the drama, stage play, comic book, video game and a TV series. Each version is slightly different than the next as Douglas Adams cut parts out and added parts and rearranged certain elements. I would urge anyone with any contact with the series to go see the movie, two, three, even 42 times. Don't forget your towel.

My brother and I went in costume as well. Robes and towels are a must for this movie. I also brought a messenger bag with olives. It was a blast. Tell me if you recognize the main theme when you go.

I like the part when they turn into knitted puppets. It was even crazier than the book...

There were some really great scenes - the knitting scene, the factory, and the Deep Thought scenes - but I found I actually preferred the series.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but here's a funny little tidbit of info. The server this site is hosted on is called Arthur. I didn't think anything of that until I heard that the mail server is called Ford!
