Yes, the best games I remember were on my ZX Spectrum clone. It had 48K RAM. Still have it somewhere. It was my first home computer. The third one bought in November. Still missing an old DOS games Sherlock and Lines.

I had my start on a ZX81, then a 16k speccy, later expanded to 48k by plugging in some memory chips. Fantastic machines, and they taught me a lot about programming. Fond memories of typing in pages of hex listing from a magazine, only to find that it was crappy game, and then deciding that I could write a better version.
Ahh, those were the days.

Something like that was mentioned in the song. This generation of low-level programmers is a dying breed. People are getting spoiled with never having to learn how to type an OS command, or even build your code pages from scratch rather than using a drag and drop visual editor that does most of the tricky stuff for you.

I guess that's good news for those of us who know how the bare-bone levels work!
