Hello Twistypuzzles forum,

it's been awhile. Anyways, I am trying to install solidworks on my new computer that I built and I'm getting a very strange error from the installer. It says that I have -255 GB of space available. Here's what the installer shows:

Any suggestions?

Looks like integer wrap / overflow. 2.67 TB is too much space and is causing the number it uses to overflow negative. You could try tracing what API calls it makes, hooking the one for disk space (most likely GetDiskFreeSpaceEx() ), and faking a smaller value.

But how do I do that?

Perhaps a simpler solution is to simply fill up 500gb on your harddrive with random data so you can get past this step in the installation.
