Some girl commented on my collection youtube vid:

Nice collection, how about a giveaway!

I hate it when people just assume that because you've collected puzzles you plan on just giving them away to complete strangers.

I've given away puzzles. Some people have had my custom puzzles for free in the past, but always they are for people I have talked to at length over many moons.

This sort of thing upset anyone else, or do you think I'm being a big meany!

In the future a team of digital archaeologists are going to uncover an archive of Youtube comments and conclude that ancient humans were a heck of a lot less intelligent than previously thought. By then, English will have become so sophisticated that their analysis will probably be "dafuq is tis?????".

I envy you your optimism...i think it'll be "dafuq dis?" or possibly just "dis?"
And yes Heoige it can be very frustrating when people expect something like this, much better to share your "wealth" with people that you know will appreciate it.

It's an internet attitude alas of many people; we've had here good discussions about IP (intellectual property).
But many people on the internet are thinking that all they can find (as images, movies, music etc.) on the internet can be re-used by them freely. Or should be available for free.

It's this kind of attitude that some try that you'd also should share physical stuff they think you've enough off.

That would be the day, when I walk over to the baker and say 'hey, you have enough bread. You cannot eat it all, so give me some freely'. :?

One thing I learned a while ago; If I intend to keep myself calm and have some sort of vague respect for the human race as a whole then I must not be allowed to read comments on YouTube.

I have to say though, although I have given many puzzles away in the past I don't think I have ever been asked to give one away for free. Usually I just want them to go to good homes.

This is a part of the reason why I disable comments on Youtube.

Even then I get asked: why have you disabled comments on your channel?

People obviously lost their power to think proper at times
