Time for another Tony rant. Do we really need update after update for every piece of software? Take the recent Adobe Flash 11.3. Shall I install it? Mmm, I guess I'd better. Once installed my important shiny new version comes with a great new feature. Instead of watching those boring YouTube videos I can see the writing "An error has occurred". Yes, thanks Adobe great improvement.
So hunting for a solution I find one. Great, all I have to do is change a setting in my Real Player software. Ok that's easy, everything now works fine. But wait a minute, what was that setting again? Oh, it was disabling Real Player download option. Well that's why I have Real Player so not much of a solution.
So now to get rid of stupid Adobe 11.3 and go back to 11.2 for as long as possible. Mmm, no restore points (must have forgot to update something) so hunting for older version of Adobe flash to reinstall. Found it but do I have to uninstall the newer one and which icon thingy exactly do I have to click on to install etc etc??
Thanks Adobe for adding yet more "update" related wasted time to my life.

I never liked the way that Windows handled updates either. One of the biggest things that attracted me to Linux was its update standard.
