I can't seem to connect to the internet on my (windows) computer. 12 other devices including the ipod I'm on right now have no problem. I've tried: -every single Diagnostics option -restarting the computer and the router -clearing the saved networks and starting this one up again -trying with Windows Firewall both on and off -connecting wirelessly as well as linked by cable -every option suggested by the offline Windows Help -and yes, the switch for networking is turned to on
Ipods, phones, laptop and desktop mac and windows all work fine. Anyone have more suggestions?
Edit: I should add where I'm getting the problem. It connects but "with limited access", and he access is basically inexistent. It cannot identify the network at all

I've had and fixed this problem before, but it can be so many things.
The fact that wired and wireless don't work mean it probably isn't a driver issue. I'll try to give you help when I get home. In the mean time, hop on your laptop and download and boot into a liveCD of linux. At least you'll be able to use your computer.
Hook it up to the router wired (what brand, and what ISP do you have? Did they provide a modem/router?) and try to connect to the router (usually 192.168.1.1). Plug in the log in information (default is usually something like admin/admin, admin/password, admin/password1) if it asks, or let me know if it doesn't resolve that at all.

I have this problem with our home network sometimes. Usually, setting the IPv4 and DNS addresses manually fixes it - the catch is that you have to know which ranges to use...
If you have another Windows PC that does connect, run ipconfig.exe under the command prompt, jot down the numbers it gives you, and enter them into the IPv4 settings on the broken one, changing the last number of the actual IP address to something else (adding 10 or 20 should work).
That's all I got. Hope it helps!

Posting this from the computer with problems. It works plugged in, but not otherwise. If I remove, it still can find the network, it just can't identify it and thus can't do much more than name the network.
The problem is fixed. I needed to update a driver that needed internet to update before I could get to the internet.
