Hey forum, Does else have a favorite moment from any song? Well you can post it here! Just a riff, chorus, intro or whatever that really sticks in your mind. I personally love the moment near the end of "hey jude" (about 3:30 on most youtube copies of it). You know the one I mean, "nah, nah nah, nananana, nananana, hey jude" Love it. Any thoughts? [PS, I found this similar topic, but the last post was from last july. I didn't really think I should bump it: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17852]

The chorus of Starfire (Dragonforce) (1:49 in video). It's a song with a special meaning to me. Also, the Intervals section of Octavarium (Dream Theater) (18:30 in the video) is one of those sad moments. It's the saddest set of lines I've ever heard, but there's something that shines about them.

Also at 14:15 to the end of Dream Theater's The Count of Tuscany. They are my favourite band, and can't wait to see them in concert again! Amazing! -Mark-

Higher by Creed...the chorus... "Can you take me higher? (guitar) To a place where blind man see..." I love how the guitar is played at 1:19.

The ending of Take a Bow by Muse is such a powerful part. I love that song a bunch.

Replacing their drummer won't have nearly as much impact on their music as Dragonforce having replaced their singer. Both bands come on tour about the same times, making their first appearance with their new respective members who replaced the old ones. MP and ZP were the face their bands, and it's sad they've left their work for good. Diamond Eyes by Shinedown has one of the most memorable choruses (starting at 1:32 in the video).

The final chorus of Bliss by Muse. When done live, Bellamy goes straight falsetto. Amazing.

I have three that came to me at once, so I guess these three would be my most memorable.
First, in Elton John's song "Tiny Dancer," at approximately 2:30 into the song, it is just fantastic. Plus, if anyone here has seen the movie Almost Famous, this is the part played at one of the most artistic and creative pieces in movie history (in my opinion, of course), where they are travelling on the bus and reconcile through song.
Secondly, in the last verse of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer," where it goes "In the clearing stands of Oxford, and a fighter by his trade, and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him 'til he cried out in his anger and his shame, 'I am leaving, I am leaving,' but the fighter still remains." The way their voices just melt together is phenominal and gives me shivers every time.
Also, the guitar work in Thin Lizzy's "Cowboy Song" near the end is stupendous. One of my favorite songs of all time.
Chris

I would choose another song by Paul Simon. "Nobody", from the One Trick Pony album (1980). He sings about nobody understanding him but his woman, but about the 2:25 mark, he runs out of words altogether, and the song moves into a wordless chorus. Transcendent.
