This is something I have been working on at my university this semester. This particular one is not mine.(I was unable to finish all of the parts on time) All of the parts were machined by hand using the Lathe's and Mill's at my school, and various other tools. They are all made from solid Aluminum or Steel stock.

The motor works very well and can reach several thousand rpm's when attached to an air compressor. Sadly I don't have a video of this.

I made a small redesign of this motor, and I should have a working print of it in a few weeks when it arrives from shapeways.

I made one out of LEGOs.

My brother also made one of these out of Legos, and my uncle has a metal one. They are pretty nifty.
