My daughter and I were just downstairs in hte podium garden playing and this jumped up and surprised us:

They are up in the mountains, but this is the first time I have seen one this close to an urban area. Last week the news said they were becoming more daring. I never thought we would see one here though.

Perhaps it's been trained to steal puzzles. :)

I seriously doubt the monkey will scale the building and steal my puzzles. I don't think they are shiny enough for them. But I really would like to know how he got there. That railing he is sitting on is 5 stories above the street level. He had to do some serious climbing to get there. That was one determined monkey. The guards were chasing it away because of the kids playing and one of them told me it finally just jumped over the edge of the garden! A 5 story jump! I sure hope the poor monkey was ok. I'd hate to think of a dead monkey laying out in the road.

Do you have Monkey Puzzle Trees on that side of the world or does this refer to something else?

Definitely something else. No monkeys in KangarooLand!
They have been all punched out by Skippy, haven't you ever played the video game?

Apparently, it was one of the coolest games of the early 80s!

(you can still play that on your PC by using MAME - an arcade game emulator)

Pretty awesome seeing a monkey on your back porch. I sometimes get a skunk or a deer, but those are boring.
