I have now made a Shapeways version of the face turning rhombic dodecahedron puzzle I designed several years ago. I've included a few pictures of the new version here, as well as a video.The FTRD is now available for purchase at my Shapeways shop.

Although I havent checked yet, I presume it will be made from several orders. Even though this might not be true, it would be nice if you told us the total price in your thread. Both in dollars and euros. As well as in (if possible) for a finished puzzle.
This would be nice if done everybody posting about their puzzles being made available to the public.

It is actually only made from one order on Shapeways. Total cost is $143.33 for the wsf material. Shapeways only shows me prices in dollars since I'm in the US.Sorry, I have not started selling finished puzzles (yet).

This puzzle has already been made under the name Rua.

What screws are needed exactly? M3x20?

This puzzle was made first. It is the first jumbling puzzle. So although the name FTRD has been taken for Eitan's puzzle, realisticallty David has the right to call it the FTRD.

Very nice. One of your Rhombic-16 puzzles is on the way to me from Shapeways.
Other than the fact that in addition to rhombic face turns the Rhombic-18 also does 4-fold vertex turns, are there differences in the way the two puzzles work?

This puzzle (which I had always referred to as "Rhombido") was originally designed and prototyped in 2003, but it was not published until last year. Since the creator of the Rua published first, I was trying to respect that fact by using what I think of as the generic "FTRD" (face turning rhombic dodecahedron) rather than giving it an entirely new name. Perhaps I was over-thinking things.
I'm not actually sure what size the screws are, although I think they're close to M3. They are the "New Screw & Spring Set" screws from Cube4You. The link is provided in my Shapeways shop.
Thanks for buying one of my puzzles, and I hope you like it! The only difference is indeed the 4-fold vertex turns, but the mechanism had to be altered substantially to allow those turns. Some of the internal parts had to be split into multiple pieces, which is why it became too large to fit into one Shapeways model.
