No worries, you can just pop it back together: as long as you put all the corners back to match the colours on the centre pieces (ignoring all the symbols and even all the edge pieces), then it will be perfectly OK and solveable.

Then you can just say "naughty daddy, don't touch things you don't understand!"

Then you probably won't be able to solve it (67% probability), unless you're quite lucky (33% probability).

You need to make sure all the corners match the colours on adjacent centers. It's no different from a normal 3x3 in that respect, but you don't need to worry about the edge pieces.

I know of at least 3 others still waiting from the first batch shipped on 27th October! Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about the postal "service" without charging extra for priority tracking, but rest assured I will make sure everyone gets what they ordered.

You're not alone mate, but I have high hopes for mine coming soon, because the rest of the puzzles that I ordered around the same time have only just arrived as well.

Guys I feel like I have to spread this:

Whilst the Qubami may not turn very well for some people (Sure it's smooth, but it may be slow and not brilliant at cutting corners), just add a SMALL amount of vaseline. Mine is currently moving like a DREAM! It is absolutely fantastic

One more week in there and I'll clean it out.

I had always understood that you should never use Vaseline as it is petroleum based and will gradually dissolve the plastic over time, eventually producing a sticky mess that does not turn very well at all. Some of these video reviews confirm this, but others suggest otherwise...

Has anyone here ever tried using Vaseline on their puzzles??

I would strongly advise against using any lubricant except silicone, as many are petroleum based and will gradually dissolve plastic, so you could end up with a sticky mess that does not turn very well at all. Has anyone ever tried using Vaseline on a Rubik's Cube??
I've used vaseline on many Rubik's cubes for many years. It is not so bad. Especially the big cubes (4x4x4, 5x5x5) needed some lubrication, definitely.
And it has not done any harm.
I use silicone spray since two years or so. I've cleaned all my cubes from vaseline and put silicone on them. The Qubami respond wonderfully to the brand I'm using. They had turned quite smoothly right out of the box, but are now better by far!

I have heard yesterday for the first time that there are lube haters on this forum.
Personally, I have had no puzzle (including custom made) that has not improved a lot by silicone spray.

Whilst that hasn't happened to my 3x3, It seems to have happened to my pyramorphix and tetraminx (however this was intended since the turning was stiff) and I am aware of that problem. For that reason alone I inserted the final sentence "One more week in there and I'll clean it out'' to ease the minds of those who believe too much plactic would dissolve. It is simply for break-in purposes.

Many of the lube haters on this forum, hate lube because they are collectors. I don't lube any of my puzzles simply because of resale value.

And on top of that, I happen to own a storebought Rubik's with a year and a half of breaking in, UNLUBED, that spins better then any lubed DIY you care to show me. It's never popped on me, it cuts corners from almost 40 degrees, and it spins 3/4 of the way around with a one finger-flick. And it never locks (anymore).

I really like my puzzle but I have a suggestion for the future Kelvin, It would turn even better if the edges had larger fillets. Larger fillets help with auto alignment. I know your puzzle is more solving based then turning based but it is food for thought.

Many thanks, in fact that's exactly what I would do (plus one or two other improvements) if I have to make another mould with more cavities and production capacity, or when I make a 2x2 or 4x4 version in the future.

I don't know if this sounds stupid, but what is a fillet? I have heard the term mentioned but I don't know what it means.

A fillet is the rounding of an edge.

I am pretty sure that "people using Vaseline as lube" was on the cubing peeves thread. The stuff is nasty, corrodes the cube, gets everywhere, and makes your hands disgusting.

Just throwing that out there.

BTW, What sized fillet did you use? My gues is .5mm-1mm. I have tried a whole lot of different fillet sizes and right now, if the cube can take it, I am using 2.5 or higher with great results.

Spoke too soon - arrived today. There was a hole in the package, and the post office had stamped "arrived damaged" on it, but thankfully the puzzle was unharmed. (I haven't tried to solve it yet, but it turns pretty well and I love the feel of the rubber stickers!)

Hi everyone....
My 1st post on this forum will be to give a few words about that puzzle I received today....
(I'll probably use my second message for the presentation topic, let's see that later...)
So :
I'm now a very happy and proud owner of a brand new (signed) Qubami...
And I must agree with philliesrule3690, it's definitely a puzzle you must have.
Not only is it very, very nice to look at, it's also a real pleasure to solve, though very challenging.
It also turns very well, but I'm not a specialist of,that specific point, but it's pleasant in hand, it doesn't block a single second, there's no need to concentrate on alignment or anything....

I don't have a clue what time I take to solve a standard 3x3x3, but for this one, it took me at least 90 minutes, without a single second of pause
I didn't think it would take that long, and considering the way I solved it, which was quite intuitive, I think it will take quite as long next time.... Didn't try to get it back to intial state or to the 3rd solved state yet, but I don't regret a single second buying it !
A last word, which is also a big thanks to kelvin : it was great to deal with him, fast answers, very clear and also very fast to send it.... Just to let you know : I first spoke to Kelvin on the 8 of April, and he hadn't the model I wanted already assembled, and 7 days after, I'm already giving my opinion here.

So.... Thank you Kelvin, and to all of those who didn't get this puzzle yet.... You really should !!

PS : excuse the probable english mistakes, not my native language

This was a bump (common new member mistake) but I am going to make an exception and leave the post as I don't think creating a new thread would be worth it. Kelvin's puzzles are still for sale so this as a reminder bump serves some purpose for those who might not know they are available

And it serve its purpose just right, because I saw the thread when Baghera posted and I am very interested in this puzzle. I have been away for a few months so I must have missed this thread. Good Decision Dave

Sorry for the bump but Kelvin deserves this...

I got my Qubami yesterday and was very pleased when I saw it in my hands.
Has a great feel in the hands due to the nature of the stickers.
It definitely is a must have for all puzzle enthusiasts. For the ones who don't know, the puzzle is only USD \$35, so more reasons to buy one... or more.
Congratulations to Kelvin for creating a truly masterpiece

Here's mine in the state it came:

My Qubami came today. It is purple with metallic labels. Cyan, Yellow, and Green.

I love it. It is beautiful and has a great feel. It came solved by color. I have solved it by symbols, but haven't even started to try to figure out how to really solve it yet.
