Hello, I would like to present my new puzzle - Lego Zauberkreuz / Magic Cross. The idea was inspired by Zauberkreuz / Magic Cross. Enjoy! VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ-B4WC35HMBest regards, Vladimir Yaroslavskiy

I'd say that my puzzle is between Zauberkreuz and Swissmad: 5 colors and 20 squares as Zauberkreuz, but no triangles as Swissmad. With Lego you can build many types of puzzles: different colors, number of squares and way of intersection. And easy to reset

Nice job! (In the ZauberKreuz, the blocks are not triangular - just the designs on the tops of the blocks are. You could simulate this by making all the sliding blocks the same color and putting a single colored 1x1 plate on the top in one corner of each 2x2 moving block.) Lego offers flat tiles you can use to cover the studs on the surface where you want blocks to be able to slide - so you don't have to cover them with paper as you seem to have done. The tiles are available at lego.com. Also note that for 3D puzzles, you can make a unit cube from a 1x2x2 brick plus a 2x2 plate and a 2x2 flat tile on top. I agree, Lego is useful for creating many puzzles - you might wish to see some of the designs I made using Lego here: http://robspuzzlepage.com/homemade.htm#legoAlso check out Eric Harshbarger's site: http://www.ericharshbarger.org/lego/puzzles.html

Indeed, I was not talking about the blocks, but the theme (though colorful, it did not use right triangles). As it is, it wouldn't work with triangles anyway, unless there was a 45 degree tube instead of a vertical. In this case, we would get some sort of unique design (and in some sense a bandaged version of Dave's Elemental), while instead of 20 little square blocks, we will need 24 (or 40) right triangular blocks. Very nice! I have often thought of applying my Elemental building design to squares to explore the options there but haven't ventured there yet. There are some areas not yet covered by the Uriblock and Zauberkreuz...

I made one of those. But the pieces were actually held in place on both sides.
