I usually use plastic sheet to make square tubing to extend out on a puzzle, but on this occasion square rods were made with milliput.
I first truncated a 6x6x6 cube into a cuboctahedron, and then cut the rods to length and glued them onto all of the six 'uncut faces',
144 extensions in total, 24 for each side.

The puzzle now measures 92 mm, and weighs 360 g
Thankyou.

Amazing work as usual. Why did you decide to go with milliput this time?

Thankyou.
I recently bought a table disc sander :) which I used straight away to try something different, making these extensions with it was quite easy, and quicker, the plastic tubing extensions I made for my Ultramorphix took a lot longer.
The table sander makes light work of truncating too, but I still use my dremel for fine tuning though, I'm better with it :)
