As usual, I love to create a new string/series of as simple as possible puzzles that
could be made in the future. Who could have thought that the folding mechanism
was also suitable for some elegant secret boxes?
The puzzle's goal is to swap two different traditional houses of the Kastellorizo island.

Well... this puzzle combines the mystery of a secret box with the elegant movement
of a folding plate puzzle, while it also blends some efficient geometry to enable a total
switch of the five sides of the cube-house.
To do this, we need to use eight gentle moves to switch from a house made of stones
(with blue doors and windows) to a house which is of red color (with green doors and
windows). All four sides (front, left, back, right), as well as the top part (below the
orange-tile roof) should change their color completely (the bottom-ground part doesn't
count, because it is supposed to be on the... ground!).
Note that, the box made of the plates which encloses the wooden cube, is fixed (i.e.
it is made such that it is solid and no changes are possible). Of course, one side plays
the role of a lid, to allow us to take out the wooden cube. Video here
The video was taken on top of the port and houses of Kastellorizo, namely, the stairs
leading to "St George of the Mountain". Hope you enjoy the puzzle as well as the view!
PS. I had made many more prototypes, which to my surprise were working differently,
and it was almost impossible to decide which one I liked more to present in public!
One of the prototypes was shown at the New York Puzzle Party (right after my seminar
on folding puzzles) and I loved hearing everyone stating the word "Wow". LOL
