Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,

Impossible Twist is a twisty puzzle, inspired by the impossible dovetail object. As its cut crosses the equator, the mechanism is classified as "deeper-than-origin". The puzzle is very easy to solve, as it cannot be scrambled that much.

Watch the YouTube video.
Buy the puzzle at my Shapeways Shop.

Check out the photos below.

Enjoy!

I love the patterns on the faces and the simplicity of this puzzle. Can you only make two or three turns before the puzzle becomes blocked due to the bandaging?

Since you can't really scramble it, that would be a terrible decision.

But still I like the concept. :)

Very interesting concept. I do have a question: do the dovetail cuts have rotational symmetry around one corner? Like this?

and also, is there a way to change the symmetry to enhance the scrambling? For example, making it have rotational or reflective symmetry about an edge or center of the cube?

I loved this puzzle when I looked on shapeways. I love dove tail puzzle a lot because I like dovetails. I just wish it would scramble more that's all. No offense. How would you put this puzzle together?

Yes. Your sketches show what the puzzle looks like from another angle.

Good question. Can you answer it?
