Today I can show the largest 3x3xn Twisty puzzle of the world. Greg designed it 4 weeks ago. This was the first cuboid in the series. It will be available at my shapeways shop and the stickers you can order at Olivers shop. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0KPBzC6Xk8The largest cube with the smallest cat I have. Attachment:

I'm glad this doesn't shape shift, that tower of single cubies sticking out would be terrifying to see Nice puzzle by the way.

I hope you give your cats a scratch-pole. Restickering that puzzle seems staggering Nice puzzle. Does it turn well? I cannot judge from the rather slow turns in the video Per

Keep it up Greg! How long did it take you to assemble and sticker?

These puzzles are starting to get crazy now. I can only assume that there is a 3x3x12 and 3x3x13 in the making.
Oh, and awesome work guys!

Wow Greg, that is one big puzzle!
And Claus: You told us these puzzles are missing from your collection. I thought you meant filling the gaps in your logical collection, but I can't think of any series where this one would be 'missing'!

Sjoerd, I filled the gaps of the 4x4x8 and 4x4x9 this week. The 3x3x14 was a bonus.

Oliver, you are one of the guys who know exactly what will coming out in the next two weeks. On Tuesday I will show two more highlights (one world record).
After all I will show a uncomplete cuboid family picture!!

clauswe wrote: Oliver, you are one of the guys who know exactly what will coming out in the next two weeks. Yes, I know what you will reveal (Or at least some of them). And that's the one I like the most in this job / hobby. But some times when I receive a template I can't imagine what will the puzzle look like. Or like in this case, You only order simple 3x3x3 sets, but the outcome is something really different. clauswe wrote: After all I will show a uncomplete cuboid family picture!! I cant wait to see it.

Ok guys you all like a puzzle so I want to see a list of possibilities (before tomorrow). I don't want to spoil the surprise but Claus may have let his Main Coone out of the bag.

Easy! It's a 1x5x14, 1x7x10, 2x5x7, 1x2x35 or a 1x1x70. Not-shapeshifting excludes the 2x5x7 so my bet is on the 1x2x35. Edit: I misread, 70 cubies more. Let me think about that! Well, it looks like there are not many cuboids that match Claus's description and they are: 1x8x23 1x4x46 1x2x92 1x1x184 Code: candidates = [(x,y,z)|z<-[1..184],y<-[1..z],x<-[1..y]] shapeshifting (x,y,z) = ( (even (x-y) && y/=x) || (even (z-y) && y/=z) || (even (z-x) && x/=z) ) && not (x == 1 || y == 1 || z == 1) cubieCount (x,y,z) = x*y*z - ( ((x-2) `max` 0) * ((y-2) `max` 0) * ((z-2) `max` 0) ) possibleCuboids = filter (\x -> (cubieCount x) == (cubieCount (3,3,14)+70) && not (shapeshifting x)) candidates They all seem rather unlikely to me. Claus, do you count internal cubies too? (so this one would have 3*3*14 cubies?) Then the candidates are 4x7x7, 1x14x14, 1x7x28, 2x2x29, 1x4x29, 1x2x19. 4x7x7 seems more likely to me.

We also know that there is factually a 50% chance it will be a world record. Since we are talking a lot of cubies I think we can raise this probability higher. Are we certain if Claus meant 70 more cubies than the 3x3x14 or 4x4x14?
