Easy mod? Perhaps to you, but not to us mortals! Great puzzle.

Huh. That is interesting. so it's solved by solving a 3x3x3 with all moves possible (90°) for correct shape and than restoring the 5x5x5 with only 180° moves along x- and y- axis? Is there any additional parities that a 4x5x5 doesn't have? Because you might solve the 3x3x3 wrong/restore the shape in a wrong way? I like the 'pattern' of picture 4. With only the slices turned. It looks nice.

Years and years the community waits to get their hands on a 4x5x5 and what does Traiphum do? He makes a 5x5x5 out of it. That is ... cruel!

Hm. If you break the shape back up and just treat the edges like those of a 3x3x3 you should be able to just place them correctly. I would even suggest solving the whole 3x3x3 (shape restoring) in a whay that middle edges, centers and corners are all correct. I think that should work. Not sure though.

Hi All, Thank you alaskajoe for your advice I solved it. re-scramble and place edges ---- paired, now it just FF3x3x5 Solve it with my style F3L ------ and one parity Why it so easy solve? I try again turn turn turn ah!! I found it can move R when shape changed, turn turn turn ah!! L also turnable I guess F and B also turnable ( by my previous scramble I just turn only r,l,u,d,f,b between shape changed) so just 90 degree R move and continue scramble. picture show R move ------- scrambled OMG!! I can solve it even re-cuboid >> picture show front ---- back some time between solve R also turnable sometime can't<<< >>> last picture is show my lastest situation not allow U,R. I just want to pair the a,b,c together and move them to place. Any suggestion? For my opinion this cuboid is very difficult level!!!

How easy is this mod? Is it something a learner could attempt - like cut and join. I really love this and want one!

This puzzle is fantastic! Can you give details of the mod?

Or could Triaphum and Ayi come to an arrangement where Ayi develops and sells a version on his shop! A few injection molds here, a sticker re-design there, and I am shelling out for 2 more puzzles (I already have)!
I have a similar mod made from the C4U 3x3x4 & 3x3x5 which is one of my favourites. Not difficult to solve at all but the (slightly) bandaged shapeshifting adds so much fun to the experience.
It would enhance the 4x4x5 & 5x5x4 also I think.

I took it solving an hour everyday and this is first picture is before comeback to cuboid when I do reshape I took white and yellow is left and right next picture I skip place middle layer so I got this situation. I try as Alaskajoe advice but I can't do it again. Below is some part that I said easy, take all replace with hidden layer of 4x5x5 and thin layer only cut

Is it possible to do the algorithm Greg posted but with all 3 middle layers?EDIT: Nope, realised that wouldnt work either. If you can fix the middle edges, you can solve the rest using r-slice comms which I think would still be possible with the shape changing. From the position you posted in the picture, if you can flip those edge-triplets, the you can perform: r U2 r2 U2 r' U2 r U2 r' U2 r2 U2 r, to fix orientation, then l' U2 l U2 l U2 r' U2 l U2 l' U2 F2 l' F2 r to fix permutation. Hopefully these should work, since its only U2 moves. Looks like a really nice puzzle though. Would definitely buy one given the chance (assuming I have money at the time )
