Hi Twisty Puzzles fans,

Half Turn Tetra is an edge-turning tetrahedron, suggested by Andreas Nortmann. If this puzzle was a shape-mod of a regular 3x3x3 Rubiks Cube, then it would shape-shift. However, the internal mechanism allows only 180-degrees turns. The mechanism is based on the Half Turn Cube). The internals of the corner pieces look like a spiral staircase. This way, shape-shifting is prevented.

Watch the YouTube video.

Buy the puzzle at my Shapeways shop.

Check out the photos below.

Enjoy!

Wow, an Oskar puzzle that I can actually understand how it works!

Nice job.

EDIT: WOW I don't know how I missed the "how to" video. That was neat. You should go a bit more in-depth on the CAD design some time, that was a nice video to watch.

Nice puzzle Oskar. It would be nice to see whether CAD could produce puzzles like the Edge Turning Pyraminx with no or unnoticeable gaps.

I think if apply stickers of smaller size, it will be just fine.

Oskar, please try and add the normal pyraminx cut to this puzzle and we will finally see the real Master Pyraminx come to life :)

At Ola, yea those! Was that like 2 years ago? :)

January 2010, so yea allmost 8-)

I did make a refined version of the "triangular" version and put it on shapeways, but I never got around getting it.
