This is the second new puzzle I took to Cube Day. It is a very simple transformation of a Helicopter Cube. I made it purely so I could have a cheap puzzle available. Just like the 4Cube puzzle it was also made by someone else around the same time. That was Jason Smith last year who intended to take some to IPP. He was unable to attend though so mine was the first revealed.

Nice puzzle Tony. I like it.

Is it possible to truncated it further into a truncated octahedron shape? That would reveal the center piece as well as adding more pieces to the "corner" faces

Very nice creation.
May I ask why the corners are sunk in?

Helicopter cube corners are in three parts held together with a screw. If you remove the outer visible part and the screw you pretty much get the puzzle I have created

Instead of saying it's a "cheap" puzzle I would rather say it is an affordable one. :-)
I like mine very much. Thanks Tony!

Beautiful puzzle Tony. I do love its simplicity, even though it is a little confusing from some angles. Great work!
