That's what i thought, you use basicly "dayan style", but converted into a 2x2. But just their, and i porbably not the only one, i can see 1 or 2 ajustment that you could do.

Hmm Dayan type 3x3x3 inside a 2x2x2. Me thinks it's a good thing you two are friends or we would be hearing crys of KO!

(and no more cries of I'm on my ______. I've edited this thing twice because of the auto correct and small keys.)

Like it look's more of mf8 legend pieces in a 2x2, tought. The edges are not made for it, but did you think of trying to use the tropedo/anchor, thing with this 2x2? Could work well, even if the pieces look to stay nicely in the cube. And you porbably know how an 2x2 inner po can be annoying in a competition.

I have sub 12 average. Isn't that enough for the free gift? ;)
(but not sub 12 in rank...)

Dang it, I just finally broke down and ordered a new V-Cube 2x2x2 (my Eastsheen is starting to have lockup issues), and now they go and show me this light-years cooler adjustable tension 2x2x2 with see-through outer parts and a fused inner 3x3x3 ball core!!!

Hmmm. Seems to use the typical bandagng method of one 2x2x2 corner to three hidden edges and three hidden centers. Effectively, this makes the transparent version of the cube equivalent to solving this due to the unbandaged edges and centers:
Image
http://cubetwist.com/en/product/showproduct.php?id=65&lang=en

Methinks this would be quite a beautiful puzzle if I apply smaller-sized CubeSmith tiles to the outer corners of the transparent puzzle, creating cross-shaped windows inside to see the hidden parts. It would essentially make it two puzzles in one: a normal 2x2x2 and a fused 3x3x3.

And I know this would be a heck-of-a-lot-of-extra-work to pull off, but if they used the X-Cube solution of bandaging the centers to little raised nubs on the core itself, instead of center-to-edge bandaging, then would the mechanism allow full scrambling of the inner 3x3x3, or would it still act like a fused cube?

Type C WitTwo 2x2 cube is really great at corner cutting.
Some say that it is currently the best 2x2 cube for speed cubing now.

Well, it is possible to flip edges on that bandaged 3x3x3 cube. Hmmm .....

I recently received this cube and honestly it is the best!! If you have it tensioned correctly there is no place where it can't cut corners one way or another.

I was hoping to see this in solid 6 colour (like Dayan), but I only see transparent. Are there plans for solid colour?
Cheers,
Burgo.

Hi Calvin,
Are there any plans for 6 solid colour plastic, do you know? Transparent is difficult to see for solving faster. They do look trendy, especially the coloured internals, but it is being promoted as a speed cube? And the faces have the design that is generally used for coloured plastic. Is this the intention?
I'm asking because there seems to be a trend by manufacturers presently: in me buying a puzzle and then a week or 2 later there is another production run in a new colour.
Cheers,
Burgo.

Till now, they only have the black, white, clear and clear color version, not yet having an intention to make the 6 solid color version.
I do recommend the Bandaged 3x3 6-Solid-Color Cube (embedded by 2x2 Clear Body Cube, Limited Edition).
This is a Bandaged 3x3 6-Solid-Color Cube embedded by 2x2 Clear Body Cube. It is very fun to play with the internal Bandaged 3x3 6-Solid-Color Cube. Having the 2x2 Clear Body outer layer, this increases the difficulty to solve the internal bandage 3x3 cube. The color molded material are both hard and expensive to make, so this one is very limited edition, only 800 pcs for China market.
If you wanna add one for your collection, this one is a good choice.

I just tried to order this one:

Part Number: NS-CB784
Bandaged 3x3 6-Solid-Color Cube (embedded by 2x2 Clear Body Cube, Limited Edition)
free shipping

The total amount comes to HK$ 140 and when I click on check out I get a screen that says "No selling prices set for items. Please ask supplier for product details." and all the address info I put in on the prior page is gone. Am I the only one having issues trying to place orders from hknowstore.com? I think this is the second time I've run into problems.

Anyways I believe this is the same puzzle:
http://www.mefferts.com/products/details.php?lang=en&category=22&id=496
So I've gone ahead and ordered it through Mefferts.

excalvin, maybe you could still help me though. I've long been looking for a blue X-Cube 4x4x4 as the one available here. But the only way to get one there is to shell out $420USD. I see hknowstore sells the white body (NS-CB576) and the black body (NS-CB566) X-Cube 4x4x4. I'm guessing for every 12 you sell you get a blue one. Could you help me get one? If not, and anyone else can, please PM me.

Carl
