Cool. The number 8 is the best (because my Birthday is today (8/8)). This puzzle is truly epic. Well done.

What material did you use? It looks a lot like that frosty transparent ultra detail material from Shapeways. How sturdy is the cube; are the center caps snap on; do you need tweezers to rotate the faces?

Since this was released on 8/8/11 shouldn't this be a 3x3x4?

Seriously... great puzzle. Just 3 years late of 8/8/8. How about a 11mmx11mmx11mm 4x4x4 this November 11th? It would be about the same size cubies as used here.

Plastic has about the same density as water at 1g/ml (it just about floats or sinks, depending on the type of plastic), so this should weigh about 0.8^3 x 1g = 0.5g, assuming it's mostly solid plastic with no holes or metal fasteners.

Imagine trying to find all those tiny parts buried in a big box of 3D printing powder! I assume they were printed in one of those mesh cages TomZ talked about in his visit to Shapeways.
