This is not a new puzzle. First it was built by Chino and Andreas http://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20641

I don't know the base of this mod, but the name Ultimate Star told me it was a Skewb Ultimate.

My mod based on a normal Skewb. First I made extensions for the Icosahedron Skewb (well known from Tony). In the second step I placed triangle pyramids.

The stickering is looking poor. I will replaced it next week. I made an error by the templates.

Hmm... The tetrahedron extensions seem a little small. Other than that, great work! :)

Interesting "new puzzle"

I can't tell you if my Ultimate Star is from a Skewb Ultimate: I have not disassembled it so far and do not intend to do so. I would have started with a Ultimate Skewb. Hence the name.

How have you made the stickers?
You did not cut them in place, did you?
