I'm rather confused here. Why does the Dino puzzle need a six-arm spider within an eight-armed spider? Unless, oh my god! Is a super-X coming after this? I'm working on mine right now!

actually, this smart core is make it easy to build up the super X cube.

No, it's not really a step to making a SuperX. The only mold that could be reused if you were making a SuperX is that of the Dino center piece.

I think they used the six-axis core because that's what they had available. Specially making the mold for an eight-axis core would be too expensive.

I received my Dino Cylinder today from SmaZ which I ordered via eBay. It's a beautiful puzzle, I strongly recommend everyone gets it. It's unbelievably smooth.

Now I see from Michael's new photo that the eight arms are stationary. If the six arm spider allows 3x3 movements then a superX can be made.

I recieved mine yesterday, opened it last night.

I am very happy with this puzzle.

It adds an "orientation of the centers" requirement to reach a solution.

When SMAZ announced that he was having trouble fulfilling orders using his outline stickers, and all the ones on ebay had been sold, I thought that when he asked for people to pm him for orders he was going to send out un-stickered puzzles. I have just received two and both are fully stickered and include the storage bags :D :D :D

It is a beautiful puzzle. Thank you SMAZ :D

Today, my two Dino Cylinders have arrived.
Image
Very, very nice puzzles :D
Thank you very much SmaZ!!!
Shipping from Hongkong to Germany in 10 days. I think this is among the fastest times ever.
The stickers are great. I'm very glad to know that you, SmaZ, have appllied them personally.
On the other hands, I can not imagine that SmaZ can sticker as many puzzles as the market will require.

This is my second SmaZ cube (The custom Dino being the first.)
Solvingwise it is easy but certainly more interesting than the Dino Cube, due to shapeshifting and the orientation requirement.

Good luck to SmaZ and mf8! :!:

the good sound for me is no complaints

the next job is control the dino cylinder quality, made it better.
I will change the stickers material,
planning to use ORACAL stickers, although it is more expensive.

Mine arrived yesterday! (Props for Saturday delivery). Would have had some pictures up but I had to go to prom. Eh, details.

Turning is great, stickers are godly, and the bag is a nice touch. I like how there's really two ways to solve it, since the colors can go in a backslash fashion ( \ ) or a forward slash fashion ( / ) as shown in Smaz' photos. Below are some pictures of the backslash arrangement as well as another solution I tried out.

I've just received mine, too, and I can only echo what everyone's been saying: It's a wonderful puzzle. I've just solved it once and it's a lot more fun than a simple dino cube. The turning is nice and smooth and the stickers are just perfect. Thank you, SmaZ!

Just received mine as well.

Beautiful puzzle. Thank you so much Smaz.

And I second the suggestion of mass producing the dino cube. I already got 2 hand-made from Smaz, but I would definitely take a third one with hollow stickers.
