Hello Puzzlers,

Several years ago I made a small series of what I called "123 Pocket Puzzles". They are simple 1x2x3 puzzles based on the same mechanism, which was designed and built from scratch. I called them Pocket Puzzles because the contouring of the shape allows them to fit easily into your pocket without any sharp corners to poke you.

The puzzles are made of cast urethane, which was tinted prior to pouring the parts. The masters were made on a Sanders 3D printer (now Solid-Scape), and the molds (which no longer exist) were silicone.

The first puzzle in the series used simple straight cuts:

For the second puzzle I curved the cuts, and polished the masters prior to casting for a smoother finish:

In the third puzzle, I changed the design more radically to allow part of the mechanism to show, creating a much more visually interesting puzzle:

Here's a video

I hope you enjoy!

I KNOW I've seen the first one before... can someone help me out?

Really cool! Any other puzzles on the way that you made several years ago? :P

The third one is very interesting. I think it's a great idea to show the mechanism, it looks really good. :D

This were probably the first pillowed twisty puzzles !? Before the V Cubes. I would really like to own something like this :). I think they are beautiful.
