Thanks. Once I'd realised it was too late to wipe off the black, the original paintwork was ruined. So something needed to be done. It was just a matter of what.

Absolutely wonderful. Spectacular, I think it looks great, your accident turned out to be, in my opinion, better than before! Keep it up!

Agreed- this is much better! I don't like mine because the light green and light green-blue look almost the same on both the Jades. It makes recognition much slower and sometimes even inaccurate. This one, however, has four distinct colors, which makes it much cooler.
You can also say that you have a one-of-a-kind of an already unobtainable puzzle.

Beautiful. I love this puzzle. I agree with Rentlix too, it should be clearer as to which piece is which.

Definition of "accident" according to the Merriam-Webster: An unfortunate event resulting especially from carelessness or ignorance Definition of "fortuity" according to the M-W: A chance event or occurance. You might want to reconsider, because this is simply amazing!!! And knowing your puzzles in real life, I bet it's 10 times better than on the pictures as I experiences with the woodland borg

It might have been better to use a white one, but then again I don't own one. I only made this one because I accidentally sprayed my coloured one with black when painting my platypus borg.

Congrats on your beautiful mod. How did you polish the color off of the raised bumps?
I have been considering buying the Jade twins and simply painting them with nail polish. Nail Polish would certainly look more vibrant than the present paints. With the exception of orange, the rest of colors are too pale. Unless Jade's Club is full of hoarders, I don't imagine they'll sell out of the plains anytime soon.

stardust4ever wrote: How did you polish the color off of the raised bumps? Have a look on my youtube channel (there's a link to a vid from it earlier in this thread). There's a pair of videos on how I made the mirror borg cubes. I used the same method to do this one, just altered the colours used and created a few custom shades.

Great painting skills! Also I would say that this would be serendipitous (I hope my grammar is correct)
