Hey Twisty Puzzle fans! I'd like to present my newest puzzle: Celticube(Formerly "Cubic FTDI") Attachment:
File comment: Cubic FTDI - Solved

As the original name suggests, this is a cubic version of the Face-Turning Deltoidal Icositetrahedron. I've been having lots of fun with this mechanism since I got it working so well on the ETRD, but this is definitely my favorite. VIDEO!AUCTION!Enjoy the pictures! Attachment:

That is epic. (And that was the understatement of the century). Absolutely incredible! Phenominal! I love it. Is it just going to be an eBay auction, or are you going to sell them on Shapeways? Oh, and for a name: Cubetoidal Icositetrahedron.

Very nice! I like it alot, and I was just thinking about this "half" edge turn when I saw your hint.
Great work, keep it coming =)

Icositetrahexaminx? Also, I didn't think I'd end up saying this, but I think I like the multicolored look of the original a bit more... but still, they're both amazing!

I bought my first cube in 1979 and I thought "How the hell does this thing not fall apart?". But this is just insane. How many combinations can it have? What does it look like when it's fully scrambled/jumbled? How do you put your head back together? Oh, and by the way, beautiful puzzle. I hope that you can put it on Shapeways.

Amazing! How about "Squiggle Cube", because it looks like someone has squiggled all over it with a black marker pen. Squiggle is such a funny word to say out loud. Squiggle!

Amazing!!! Every platonic solid, Archimedean solid, Catalan Solid, and even other bizarre geometries (Like Oskar's creations which continually defy logic) seem to be possible and fair game for induction to twistypuzzledom.

Amazing, I love the symmetry of the cuts on this puzzle! And the way the icosahedron faces are incorporated into the cube is also very unusual, great job!

This looks too crazy. But I don't understand one thing. There are 24 axis' right? Does your deltodial icosahedron have that too? I mean actually it should have 20 right? I totally don't know a good name though.

Massively cool. Why couldn't you have made these amazing creations before nationals!? EDIT: Reminds me of a Spirograph, or some sort of Celtic knot.

Thanks guys! I like the sound of "Icosacube", but that just gave me an idea for a different puzzle, so I'll choose something else.
"Celticube" and "Spirocube" are certainly possibilities. Keep 'em coming.

This thing is amazing. When, or if, this thing gets on Shapeways I would literally instantly buy it. Then I'd show it to someone and say "turn it". And yeah, "Icosacube" sounds like a really good name.

Wow, nice puzzle... I've been waiting for a cubic version ever since you posted the original. I like the pattern of the cuts, but personally feels that the edge turning rhombic dodecahedron looks better. However, though, I don't think it would be a puzzle I'd like to solve very often, it looks way too scary, with all the forced jumbling and all, along with the identical pieces with different shapes. Great puzzle, anyhow!

The symmetry an beauty of the cutpattern, the symmetry of the mechanism, the jumbling, the size... They are all perfect.

Other mods that involve strange solids and unusual principles might look disjointed with random cuts. This one is visually pleasant with a graceful consistency. I imagine that solving will be a fun experience, especially with the random pieces sticking out everywhere! Thank-you, Eitan. Thank-you.

I see the foxes too, but I think it's too much of a stretch. I think I'm going to go with "Celtic Cube".
Sorry, but this one will not be going on Shapeways. It requires a bit of extra work to get it working well enough to sell, so I'm only going to make this one to sell, and possibly one to keep for myself.

I just wet my pants! That is one beautiful, challenging, insane looking puzzle. I just love the patterns and can't even conceive how it would look fully scrambled.
A picture of a full scramble would be too much to ask?
