Hi Twisty Puzzles fans, Mixup 3x3x4 is a 3x3x4 twisty puzzle of which all centers and edges can be interchanged. This results in some unexpected shape shifting. Sixteen small wedge pieces are visible at the outside. These guide the turning of the middle slices. Watch the YouTube video. Buy the puzzle at my Shapeways Shop. Read more at the Shapeways Forum. Check out the photos below. Enjoy! Oskar Attachment:

Your Mixup puzzles are always really interesting Oskar. Even if I could afford to buy one, I'd be scared to scramble it as I'd almost undoubtedly forget which pieces go where. Alex

Wonderful! I've been waiting for this, since it was posted. I have a few questions though, 1. do the pieces shift around as you turn, like on the Illegal cube? 2. what polyhedral symmetry is it based on? (you said it had ten-fold symmetry on the tall sides, but I'm having trouble picturing the shape.) 3. it looks a bit loose, do you plan on adding springs?
great puzzle, anyhow.

Very nice! I think it looks great, and I'm glad you didn't sticker the little "wedge pieces." I think it has an aesthetic all of its own, like a turtle shell.

Your mixup puzzles never cease to amaze me and this is no exception. Can the wedge pieces be interchanged, or are they attached to other pieces?

Do you know the names of the geometries of Fairly Twisted or Arrow Planet? MonkeyZ wrote: Can the wedge pieces be interchanged, or are they attached to other pieces? All wedge pieces can be interchanged. Note that you can see only the sixteen wedge pieces at the outside, supporting the two rows of eight edges/centers. In the vertical direction, there are another ten hidden support pieces to support the two vertical rings of ten edge/center pieces. Oskar

Official Court Summons; Cease and Desist Notice: Oskar van Deventer, you are hereby summoned to appear before the Galactic High Courts on the planet Xarnea in the 4th quadrant of the Andromeda Galaxy. Charges against you are as follows: * Bending the rules of Geometry and Physics, multiple countsYour sequential logic puzzles have created mass hysteria among inhabitants of the Universe. Your repeated use of "Jumbling" has created rifts in the space-time continuum, and your use of so-called "fudging" has contaminated the interstellar byways. Wormholes are opening up everywhere, disrupting commerce and providing safe-havens for transients and drifters. Your latest violation, the "Mixup 3x3x4" has caused irreparable damaged the delicate Ether and fabric of the Universe. Please stop all activity immediately, or a warrant will be issued. =========== LOL, this is truly epic. Will definitely get this whenever I have more money

It is becoming difficult to think of new ways to describe how amazing all of your puzzles are.

I agree with Sky. The puzzle looks a lot cooler with the wedge pieces stickered. This would be a fun puzzle to try out.
