O_o I'm so confused... What is going on? Is this a compy cube mod? the cuts look similar, but the turning looks different...

EDIT: Just realized it's a rex cubeoctahedron.

This isn't really a master rainbow cube, is it?

It's just a shapemod of a rex cube...?

Oh my god.. It is real?
I can't read the link, but It is really amazing.
If Dayan makes that really, I will buy necessarily.
It is prototype or somebody made it?

Yeah, this looks a lot like a rex cube mod. From the workmanship it is apparent that this was hand made. Neat idea, though.

Wow. I hope it will be mass produced. But if it was a Master Rainbow Cube, two layers would be able to turn; not just one deep cut layer.

So it's a rex cube transformation, not a master rainbow cube.

But still, an awesome concept. <cough>someone needs to make a real master rainbow</cough>

Wow, I really like this puzzle! :D

I would say it's easier than a FTO. It solves exactly the same as an FTO, apart from the corners are one colour. You could make one from an FTO I believe.

I'm pretty sure it's more difficult, the triangle pieces (petals on the Rex cube) on this puzzle are all unique, as opposed to having 3-4 identically colored pieces. i'd love to try and solve (:

Well, apart from the centers. But even then, in my opinion solving them would be easier than solving the corners correctly (Longer, but probably easier.)

I feel a different way than you Greg, this inspires me to purchase one more for modding! :) And make this one! ;)

How about a Rhombic Dodecahedron also ? ;) there are many more mods to be done with this cube.

Due to this puzzle being an FTO, puzzles like the Rhombic Dodecahedron already exist. The RD was made by Andreas.
