Finally the day has come! But does each planet name come with a different colour? It doesn't look like you can choose. If that's the case, then I won't be getting them. Yet anyways.

I do prefer having 1 coloured cubes, but as these cubes are a bit special, I think the coloured plastic is nice.

good news! I am so glad now! :) now I have to get rid of my full color one... :P
of course you will get to choose the color, and the model doesnt slave a color.

This also means that the other puzzls will be available in black in the future such as 444 III, and megaminx.

yay!!

robert, remember we live in different timezones. but its friday/saturday so how would it matter? :P

hmm...

MF8, DaYan, will you ever produce a real circle cube? Would it cost that much more to remold the centers in a different color plastic? (I suppose this is a step in the right direction, and we get to see it in black...)

How do you know? The only options it gives you are the planets, not the colours.

They have said they don't want to do that because the idea has been done before.

I just wish someone would mass produce one....

You can make your own "real" circle cube using parts from two of these. Many people have already done so but most have been disappointed since the end up with a puzzle no more challenging than a standard 3x3x3 super cube.

What do you mean about remold the centers in different colors? From the pictures all the pieces are molded in all the colors? Or do you want one where the center pieces are different color than the outer pieces?

I'm with volitar here, they are all made in the same color. You just want them to sell one with all the stuck centers and no free centers.

WHY CANT THEY MAKE A NORMAL CRAZY 3X3
i swear it would be easier to make a crazy 3x3 then one with the wierd turning like this
a normal turning one would be so much nicer!
(sorry for the rant)

I totally agree with you here, but can't you make a circle 3x3 just by gluing the spinning center and changing one or two things in it?

It has been discussed already a few times (even in this thread).

I wanted to order two of the planets I do not have yet (Mars and Saturn), but I have no choice of the body colour.
So, I've sent an inquiry to the shop.

What I cannot understand in this thread, that people get so excited about the solid colour. You should be excited about the different challenges, though. :) Aesthetics are always a matter of taste, but people here seem to be not so interested in the challenge. When I started a discussion thread about the solution, I got so few responses, that I had to conclude that the majority of this forum has never got a Crazy 3x3x3 Plus.
And now again the discussion about a "real circle cube". On the one hand you want a new challenge and then you want to avoid it immediately???

Nicer??? No challenge at all compared with a 3x3x3 Supercube!!!
Why is that "nicer"?
Anyway, you can easily make a "normal circle cube" out of two Crazy Plus.
Believe theVDude and me, that this is a boring experience. :!:

It's good for impressing people though.

Also, with the parts left over, you can assemble a cube where none of the circles are fixed - which can be modded into a Cross Cube. :P

I totally agree with konsassen. It's about the different configurations of these crazy 3x3's not the colors. Whether it's blue or multicolor it's exactly the same thing.

Regular circle cube-piece of cake
Solving all 8 crazy 3x3 plus-One of the most difficult and time-consuming things I've done!

thing is, Konsassen, that I like symmetry. thats why I like a normal circle cube better than these plus ones.

I agree with DoubleYou. I like symmetry. Although I probably will be getting the Crazy Plus cubes. People like me don't like the plastic stickered look. In my opinion, it looks a bit cheap. I would also prefer to get the whole series in black and black alone. I just wish they produced the Crazy 4x4x4 III normally.

Most puzzles provide a challenge to get from chaos to symmetry. With your opinion you'll not like any bandaged cubes and you'll miss a lot of challenges, like the Latch Cube or the Crazy 3x3x3 series or Oskar's Anisotropic Cube.
But why on earth do you need a "normal circle cube"? Make a Rubik's Cube a Supercube and it is the same challenge.
If you are honest, puzzles like the 7x7x7 are a bit boring. All you need are some algorithms you know since the 4x4x4. The rest is a little bit of concentration, nothing new. (OK, I'm not talking about speedcubing!) Try a Neptune and we can talk about a fresh challenge.
And in a way, a Neptune is highly symmetric. :)
Regarding the plastic: It has some advantages, when it comes to stickers on such tiny pieces as the little triangles.
And the colours are not so bad. They look somehow fresh and the whole cube doesn't look cheap in reality.
Still, I'll probably buy some blacks, if I can. So far, it is buying the cat in a bag.

EDIT: Do you own a Golden Cube? If yes you have at least one highly asymmetric cube, if not you are missing a lot.
