I assume they are, for the caption is '8 axis', and 8 faces on an octahedron, so I guess so :P .

So there are at least three companies producing FTOs, any chance of making higher order ones?
As far as making master skewb corner goes, magnets are alright, but popping happens quite often if not being careful. I'm thinking about adding a small foot to each corner, it won't be enough to hold the pieces in by themselves, but should be fine for anti-popping.

Lanlan's cube is good-quality . There is another Magic Jewel after Mr. Daqing Bao's DaYan Jewel. I guess they use same mould.

The magic-jewel is 6-axis. If the 2nd one is 8-axis. They are different.

No... It's just another Face Turning Octahedron. Eight axis, eight faces: one axis per face!

WitEden, is the Magic Jewel looking puzzle actually a Truncated FTO, as it has eight axis? That would be so awesome!

Your picture shows part of the mechanism with only the 12 edges attached. So, you can understand why someone thinks it is edge-turning. I do not know the mechanism, but surmise from the picture that there is an inner core, which is mostly obscured. Then the twelve edges rotate around this inner core (as opposed to rotating in place).

On your product page, you have the same picture of the mechanism with the 12 edges attached. But it might be helpful to also have a picture of the puzzle in the middle of a twist. That should clear up any confusion! Just an idea.

The puzzle they're selling is a Trunacted Face Turning Octahedron, originally designed by Tony Fisher.
