The name Trajber comes from Josef Trajber, who first mentioned this puzzle in his book "Der Würfel für fortgeschrittene" in 1982.

I've got one of those. I Never knew what it was called. I got mine about 30 years ago. And still have it. Perhaps the first factory batch.
Anyhow. It turns extremely tight and hard. Any one have any suggestions on how I can make it turn much easer? and any one know how I can solve the center corners?
Thanks.

Thanks. Solve it like a 3x3x3.

It is not enough to solve like a regular 3x3x3. You'll need an extra step to orient the regular 3x3x3 centers / trajber's octahedron corners, as he has asked. You can find out how to do that, for example, here (solution 1, phase 8)Anyway, I didn't know this puzzle was already mass-produced back in the 80's, I always though it was a mod.
