I made this puzzle last year but only now I found the time to put stickers on it. I hope you will like it.

Groovy cuts there, Aleh. Did you cut down one of Scott's, or is this your own design?

Wow!
Two kinds of pieces from the inside of the 5x5x5!
This is so cool.

Looks great!!!
Wouldn't that be a wonderful candidate for a mass produced "puzzle of the month" at Meffert's?

Wonderful puzzle, Aleh! I love it! Thanks for sharing. :)

@Kapusta: Aleh actually made a Master Octahedron back in 2005 (see this thread), long before Scott designed his version in 2008 (see this thread).

That's an incredible piece of work! Took me a few minutes to figure out why the centres were so big, then I saw the word "mini"

Congratulations on another fantastic build. :)

Beautiful! It doesn't look like it would be too crazy to solve, either. Could be a very cool candidate for non-KO mass production.

I notice that the cuts don't quite intersect at a point (there seems to be a little empty triangle there). Was this done for stability or aesthetic reasons?

Cute! Your puzzles are always so well made!

I know that the corner-turning octahedron has a very similar mechanism to a 3x3. It is like a fishered trajber's octahedron. Does this one have similarities to a 5x5?

Are those tiles? Or just really thick stickers? Or is it just the light reflecting off the edges?

Making it so that is doesn't have the rotating trivial tips makes it look very confusing. It would be great to have.

Looks to me like it was built up from a truncated trajber's octahedron into the master octahedron.

Finally! I've been bugging Aleh to post about this for... about a year! One fewer puzzle I can't talk about :)

Yes, those are hand cut tiles.

Like Aleh's other puzzles this is an all original design with no CAD. Just ingenuity, patience and craftsmanship.

Beautiful!

Dave :)

Very well done. Fantastic puzzle. I can't believe the tiles are hand cut.
