It's been a while since I've posted one of my projects but here's something until I finish a few.

You may be wondering what's so special about it, but the answer is quite simple.
I'm sure we've all heard complaints about the mass produced 1x1x1s that are pretty terrible, so I took it upon myself to make one suitable for speed-solving.
If you take off the center cap which is underneath one of the stickers, it reveals a screw that you can adjust the tension with.

For the best results you would want to lubricate the mechanism a bit.

I was wondering why my 1x1 kept on popping!

Just need to adjust the tension.

I'd find it funnier if I didn't come across this joke so many times in the past. Great try though. Don't forget about sanding the edges between cubies so it cuts corners more easily.

Ugh, I gave my heavily modded 1x1x1 to a friend to try, and he got frustrated and threw it against a wall. Now the core's cracked and piece keep popping.

I always loved the complexity of this puzzle,
and I am glad someone else was brave enough
to build it.

Respect!

PS. I have heard stories of people missing their
flights after concentrating too much on this puzzle
while waiting at the airport lounges.

Oh, I'm getting one in the mail, I hope that it has a screw spring structure, or it'll probably be too tight.

o.O I build one, but the mech wasn't as close as being stable... And it's really hard to sping because it locks up!

No joke, I almost did that with a real puzzle.
