Here is a little history lession for those who don't remember or missed it. Long ago when I still was doing my designs in sketchup so did I come up with a mecanism to make 2x2xlong puzzles very stable and durable. I posted a topic about this with the example of a 2x2x10, it can be found here. Nothing really happend to that design afterwords since it is allmost impossible to cast. Until now that would be, when I got the opportunity to get fully printed puzzles. So I made a new updated design of a 2x2x8, and here is what I got. Attachment:

Haha! You made my day (I really like cuboids, especially shape-shifters). That is actually quite nice.

I think on 2x2xn, they should have stickers on the inside, say the N is big enough. I shows a little too much plastic in my opinion, but I don't know if it will look any good. Maybe a good idea though.

Maybe a good idea though. That would look awful after a while. Unless there was a recessed area (as with TomZ's tetrahedral twins), the stickers would peel and fall off. I love this! I like long cuboid puzzles. Alex

Alex ...and besides, it wouldn't work anyway because internal stickers would prevent rotation around the long axis: look at the detail on the inner surfaces. PS. Amazing puzzle by the way!

I meant to fit the shape of the piece.
