Hello all. this is a new twisty puzzle built by Eva and I. Scott Bedard was kind enough to design it for us. the turning is not as great as we had hoped it would be, but it is more than tolerable. this puzzle is the first of its kind. not the best build you've seen from us...lol VIDEO

I figured it would be that. I was hoping 7 and 4, making 11 sides and making concept 11 make sense to me.

i LOVE this! it reminds me of the tuttminx actually. can the puzzle do jumbling moves? say for instance, could it turn in the last picture? or if only one side was up instead of all three? and any plans to sell it? this would be nice for a lot of people i think

It's beautiful.
Thinking of how the mechanism works, seems pretty complex.
Nice work you two, and great design scott!

It's a truncated octahedron I think. This would make it closely related to the mythical face+vertex turning octahedron.
Excellent work.

Looks like a combination of Dino-Octa and Trivial Tips Octahedron with the corners truncated.
I second the Jumbling question.

it does not jumble... you cannot turn a hex face 60 degrees..then turn a square face
thanks for all of your nice comments

Does anyone else see the Star of David on the hexagonal faces? You could call the puzzle the Jewish Cube.
Or the Jewb!
Was that in bad taste?

Yeah, that'd probably go over better.
The Jewb . . . . what a dumb name!

First off I would like to say that i love the name Magenminx.
This is a beautiful puzzle, absolutely wonderful concept and new idea. One of my favorite puzzles of all time i would say. I also must say i did not realize that the square faces turned at first. I was already blown away at such a wonderful puzzle and then my jaw literally dropped when u turned the first square face in the video.

ok everyone is going to get closure..
when scott was designing the puzzle he asked if i had a name for it. i told him i didnt. he said "ok then im saving it as concept 11"
ever since then, it just stuck...and its unique....so plan on keeping it...
but i do appreciate the name ideas...all of them are great...
thanks to everyone for your nice comments.
im not sure if im going to build another. if i do it will be a little bit bigger version..
so when i auction it, the winner will have a one of a kind puzzle(only on in existence!!!)
