Thanks to TomZ introducing me to the wonderful world of Shapeways, I've finally been motivated enough (and found the time) to get some designs moving that have been gathering dust for a laundry list of reasons.
First in a series of three edge-turning puzzles I had worked out was what is now the curvy-copter. No need for me to continue with that one
Second is basically a deeper cut version, which will be coming soon-ish.
Third is this, which is functionally equivalent to the Toru puzzle, but with a totally re-tooled mechanism for increased stability. The cuts, however, are now parabolic.
I'll be getting the prototype made within the week, and then it's just waiting for the post. Woot!
Once the design is confirmed, I'll be selling this puzzle, along with "discount" (price-wise) versions of the Rua and Toru puzzles via a shapeways store as well.
(And now that I've put this out in public, I HAVE to follow through with it
