Great work!

How many sides? If 6 then it is a Master Skewb.

If it has 8 sides it is unbelieveable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It definitely looks like a 12 sided puzzle.

It's a rhombic dodecahedron made from a 5x5x5. :D I like it!

A 8 sided puzzle does not have 3 faces that meet at 1 vertex, that's a cube, or dodecahedron.

Im pretty sure that is a cube, rhombic dodecahedrons dont have 90 degree angles.

Neither does that (I think). It is angled so just 3 sides are visible to play tricks on your eyes.

Right, but I think the camera is at a specific point of view where deceptively they look like 90 degree angles, though they actually aren't. Rhombic dodecahedrons have that funny characteristic, where depending on the angle, they can appear to be cubes where 3 planes meet at 1 corner.

This is 10% Rhombic dodecahedron. Your guess at turning planes is as good as mine but I think it is a 5x5 RD. (Take a look at the outer corners compared to the inner corners).

Hi,
Hex revealed it.
It is indeed the extended cousin of this one:

The funny thing is, that I didn't know that I made a monoscopic-Master-Skewb-look-a-like before I made some photos.

Thanks.
Since it is no Rhombic Dodecahedron or anything most of the suggestions are not appropriate.
Anyone any suggestions for its name. Otherwise it will bear the name:
"OctagonalEdges 21E0200101E10 Extended Rhombohedron"

And here is another of my beloved series pictures:

Katsuhiko Okamoto built this puzzle in 2001. I believe he called it the Lattice Cube. I don't think you should change it from Lattice Cube.

Well, okay, maybe Okamoto called it something else. Unfortunately, I can't provide objective evidence to you regarding the name. Okamoto-san has moved his web-site and he now limits the membership to those who can read and write in Japanese. If you look at the photos in the article on this website, you will see a photo of this puzzle.

The one in the bottom middle is a master skewb. It has all 90 and 45 degree angles, this has some odd angles and is a compressed version of that puzzle. Thus the possible name of squished cube and squished skewb etc.

Ah Carter, you can never argue with a younger person. Even when something hits them in the face. Having visited Okamoto yourself, I know better than to argue with you

But then who am I? And who are you for that matter?

This is an awesome puzzle, but the optical illusion has caused some debate, even after your scrambled picture. I think a video would really clear it all up, hint hint.

At most it is an impostor of one of Okamotos puzzles. Using that name would be offensive to Okamoto.
Since there is still some confusion about this mods nature I should post this.

That is still an illusion! I love it! I now see that the hint of red in the scrambled picture above is not a sticker, but an inner surface!

Great puzzle!

These two puzzles look similar to each other. If you'd taken some inside picture, there would have been an exactly name for your puzzle.

I though it is a professor rhombic dodecahedron
